Scaffolding Planks
For those who might not be aware, scaffolding planks are placed across a scaffold, and are what workers will stand on as they work. Its best to have an assortment of different kinds of scaffolding planks for specialty purposes, and extras in case one might need repair while you're in the middle of a job.
The Little Giant model number 11016 is a 250-Pound Duty Rating Extendable Plank, 16-1/2-Foot long. It has a list price of around $400. The Little Giant Telescoping Plank converts any of our ladders into an easy to use scaffolding system. This high-strength plank stores and hauls in nearly half of its extended length. Scaffolding planks are either made of wood, decks are made of plywood, aluminum, or wood and aluminum in combination. Because wood gives, it can be more comfortable to work on for long periods of time. There are specialty planks for particular needs. There are many kinds of planks, including aluminum painters extension planks, Stinson painter's planks, Werner aluminum stages, wooden scaffold planks, and many more. Scaffolding plank sizes vary, but common sizes are 7 or 16 feet.
